Four-star DB Davison Igbinosun commits to Ole Miss

San Antonio – Davison Igbinosun started All-American Bowl practice with an intercept early in the week, and also finished the week in a big way.

The four-star cornerback from New Jersey has committed to the Ole Miss. The rebels fell on two defensive backs during the early signing period. Igbinosun is the second four-star in distance along with the safety of Tennessee Taylor Groves.

“Coach (Chris) Partridge and coach (Marquez) Watson also like my versatility,” Igbinosun previously told Rivals about pushing Rebels. “Coach Partridge said he wants to move me a lot; he wants me to play it safe, nickel corner, boundary corner and field corner.”

Igbinosun, outside Union (NJ) High School, is No. 27 in the nation’s safety rating and the number two player in New Jersey.

Ole Miss emerged as a contender for the four-star title from New Jersey shortly after Igbinosun reneged on the Rutgers pledge. The long corner back (6ft-3, 185lbs) brings height and tremendous ability for Rebels’ secondary defender and talented defender to outsmart larger SEC receivers.

During his graduation season at Union High School, Igbinosun demonstrated excellent range and a penchant for hawking with the ball as well as the ability to return interceptions afterward. Igbinosun was dynamic in his attacking shots as well as formidable playmaking ability.
