Hilda Marcela Cabrales Arzola, 26, has died after fighting for her life in a coma for more than two weeks after she and friend Christy Giles were drowned outside Los Angeles hospitals.
A friend of a model whose body was dumped outside the hospital tragically died two weeks later in a coma.
Hilda Marcela Cabrales Arzola, 26, was fighting for her life after being found outside Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles on November 13.
Her father confirmed that she passed away on Sunday, a day after doctors declared her brain dead.
Her death comes two weeks after it was announced that her friend, model Christy Giles, had died after her body was discovered outside the hospital.
Hilda’s father, Luis Cabrales Rivera, told The Sun yesterday: “My daughter was 27 and we are very, very, very sad because it is a loss we will never forget and we will never be able to plug in anything.
“This has been a very difficult process for us, sixteen days of anguish, but I also believe that God has given us that time to prepare to accept what is going to happen.
“It gives us peace to live part of it with other people who receive the miracle of life from its members.”
He shared a farewell letter he wrote to his daughter telling the “Queen” not to worry about anything and that he would wait for the day he could hug her again.
He said that her love taught him a lot.
Kristi Giles, 24, was pronounced dead at Southern California Hospital in Culver City, Los Angeles, after her body was discovered outside a different hospital on November 13.
Her husband said the footage showed her body being dumped outside by a group of three men wearing black masks as they were traveling in an unlicensed car.
The model and her friend, designer Hilda, 26, were last seen the day before after attending a party at a warehouse in Los Angeles.
While at the party, Hilda reportedly met a man and the three were planning to attend a Hollywood Hills after party.
Two hours after Christie’s body was found, her friend was discovered dumped outside another hospital, Kaiser Permanente in West Los Angeles, in critical condition.
A GoFundMe page set up by the family claims that three men all dressed in black, masked in gangs, dropped Mrs. Giles onto the hospital sidewalk.
They also claim that the same car, with the license plates removed, was seen dropping off Hilda at another hospital.
Christie’s husband, Jean Sellers, previously told KLTA that heroin was found in his wife’s system, but claimed neither she nor her friend would take the drug.
“Hilda’s poison report is back, and I think they found heroin in her system, something none of these girls could ever do, not voluntarily,” he said.
