Klopp responds to Salah’s statements regarding contract negotiations

Marcelo Bielsa claims that Leeds’ Brazilian star Ravenha is on the radar of “all the top clubs in the world”.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are tracking Ravenha for his fiery form and Leeds are planning a second round of contract talks to tie him to Elland Road.

Bielsa welcomed the move and said the winger, who is already under contract until 2024, has become Leeds’ best player.

“It’s a great decision,” said the Leeds boss. “Ravenha is the best player on the team in every respect.

“Physically he is the best, technically he is the best and his interpretation of the game is very wise.

“He is in the group of a strong country like Brazil, he is shining in the Premier League and he is getting the attention of all the big clubs in the world.

“All these things are something you guys also know. Nothing new. As a result, the club’s decision can only be evaluated.”

Leeds have ruled out selling Ravenha this month and the samba winger is happy to stay on Elland Road as he has settled with his partner.

Leeds are finding it difficult to hold onto their younger players, and Cody Dramay joined Cardiff on loan this week as he felt he would have more chances to play there.

Bielsa blames himself for Drame’s unwillingness to stay when he faces an injury crisis and has given him five games this season.

“I didn’t think he needed to play games elsewhere,” he said. “He was a player who was very needed with all the absences we had, but he preferred to go and play outside Leeds.

“In situations where the chances of youngsters have clearly increased, in this case the dramatist would prefer to experiment outside of our team.

I consider this position to be correct and I do not think it makes sense to oppose it.

“What you imagined as a great opportunity, imagine it in a different way.

“What he thinks is more important than I think. I don’t think it is appropriate in this case to oppose a player.”

Bielsa feels a dramatic determination to leave Leeds when he feels it has given him a golden opportunity and is typical of the attitude of young players.

“A lot of the young players who joined the first team have the desire to go somewhere else,” he said.

“Obviously what I’m suggesting to them is not what they would like.

“I don’t criticize or condemn her, that doesn’t disappoint me, but I obviously guessed things wrong because what I consider a great opportunity, those who take advantage of this position, prefer to abandon the club, and look for another type of competition.

“Obviously, what I imagined as a great opportunity and opportunity, they didn’t.

“Maybe I’m exaggerating the fact that you’re part of a team of 20 players in the best league in the world.”
