Ousmane Dembele is studying his options to leave Barcelona after a dispute with the club’s board of directors, Lyal Thomas writes.

The French striker has yet to sign a new contract offer as his current deal expires in the summer.

He could speak to clubs outside La Liga this month and a number of Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation.

Dembele and his agent Moussa Sissoko are said to have been disappointed by Barcelona’s request for him to reduce his salary in his new terms.

Nor were they happy that this request coincided with the signing of Ferran Torres from Manchester City – a player they believe plays in the same position.

Barcelona are said to have reassured them that Torres will play more as the No. 9. However, Dembele and his representatives want a similar deal for Torres.

Reports in Spain also claim Barcelona are unable to sign Torres until Dembele accepts the terms of the offer – or he leaves.

Barcelona officials put the ball firmly in Dembele’s stadium in recent public comments, urging him to sign the deal.

Rovers are also interested in John Sutter at Hearts, but they face competition from a number of other clubs including Rangers.

Sky Germany also reported that Blackburn is about to sign Hertha Berlin’s Diovizio Zefwick on loan. Manager Tony Mowbray has targeted right-back with Ryan Nyambe’s future uncertain.

Cardiff talks about Dijon Panzo

Cardiff have opened talks with Dijon to sign England Under-21 centre-back Jonathan Banzo, Thomas Nights Reports.

QPR and Stoke are also interested in bringing the former Chelsea academy player back to England. Panzo joined Dijon from Monaco in 2020 and also spent time on loan at Club Brugge.
