UAE reports three new COVID deaths, 3,116 cases in 24 hours

The UAE has reported 3,116 cases of COVID-19 within 24 hours of 410,949 tests.

The virus has claimed three more lives, with up to 2,188 COVID-related deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The reported daily recovery rate is 1,182, while the total number of recoveries is 759,213.

The UAE boasts 92.8 percent of the fully vaccinated population, with 2,2997.534 doses administered since the start of the pandemic.

However, in light of these recent developments, UAE schools and universities are expected to extend distance learning for an additional week after COVID-19 cases in the country crossed the 2,500 daily infection mark.

The official Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that all personal tests have been postponed to January 28, according to a statement issued by the government authority.
